Restless Heart
Restless Heart
Restless Heart is an American country pop band originally formed as a studio band to record demos. The band's original members comprised John Dittrich (drums), Paul Gregg (bass guitar, vocals), Dave Innis (piano, keyboards, vocals), Greg Jennings (guitar, vocals), and Verlon Thompson (lead vocals); Thompson was replaced with Larry Stewart shortly before Restless Heart was signed to a recording contract in 1984.

Throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s, the band saw considerable crossover success in both country music and adult contemporary, with a distinctive hybrid of mainstream country and soft rock influenced by the Eagles. In that same timespan, the band charted more than fifteen Top 10 singles on the Billboard country music charts, including six Number Ones. After the band's commercial success waned in the 1990s, Stewart left in 1992 for a solo career, followed by Innis' departure not long afterward; by 1996, the three remaining members had disbanded.

Except for a brief reunion for one album in 1998, the band remained inactive until 2002, when Dittrich, Gregg, Innis, Jennings, and Stewart all reunited. Two years later, they released Still Restless, the first album since 1992 to utilize the entire five-piece lineup, on Koch Records. Although Koch's Nashville division closed by 2005, all five members continue to tour to this day.

MATT MASON
Matt Mason has always known that music would be a big part of his life. In fact, one of Mason’s earliest memories is the time his family took him to see The Grand Ole Opry at The Ryman Auditorium. Matt recalls telling his Father that night he would perform on that very same stage one day. Little did they know that several years later Matt would indeed take the stage at “The Mother Church”, as the Winner of CMT’s “Next Superstar”.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, Matt Mason never turned down an opportunity to perform. At a young age he found himself jumping on stage any chance he got. Having the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of Charlie Daniels and Vern Gosdin, he knew Music City was his destination. Once he graduated from high school in 2005, Mason packed his belongings and made the move to Nashville to pursue his dreams. While performing on Lower Broadway at famous attractions such as Tootsies and The Stage an opportunity presented itself for Mason to audition for USA Network’s “Nashville Star”. After a 4th place finish on the show’s 2006 season, (coming in close behind Winner Chris Young) Mason now had more drive and passion than ever for his music and fans.

In 2011, Mason got a chance to appear on CMT’s “Next Superstar” and felt it could be the opportunity that he has been searching for. In June of that very same year, Matt Mason was named Winner of CMT’s “Next Superstar”. Part of the prize package for winning the show included the privilege of opening up the 2011 CMT Tour, featuring Luke Bryan, Josh Thompson and Lee Brice.

Since the show’s end, Mason is set to release two albums, a radio single and a music video in 2017. Winning CMT’s Next Superstar has allowed Mason to tour coast-to-coast bringing his music to his fans in many of the nation’s largest markets. With a new management team and booking agency in place Matt Mason is excited for the future and can’t wait to see what it holds!
